WHAT IS A CSA?
Thanks for your interest in our CSA. We will not be offering a CSA for the 2016 season. We are taking time to retool and rethink our program. Check back at the end of 2016 for information about our 2017 season!
CSA or Community Supported Agriculture is a part of the modern organic and local “movement” that is really about a fresher, healthier, and sustainable way of growing and buying food—without long distance transportation and other costs.
Community Supported Agriculture groups, or CSA’s, allow consumers to develop a relationship with a farm to know where their food comes from and how it is grown and harvested. The CSA farm offers a subscription, where buyers receive a weekly basket of produce, delivered soon after it is picked.
By making a financial commitment to a farm, people become “members” (or “subscribers”) of the CSA. This provides the needed financial backing to make this sort of healthy, small-scale farming possible.
